Modern Vespa

I live in Massachusetts and spend my summers in Maine. I bought a 300 GTS 10 years ago at a dealer in Maine who has since gone out of business. Thanks to Robot and his ScooterWest videos on YouTube, I've done oil changes myself. When I crossed 10k miles it occurred to me I needed some serious maintenance, so this spring I studied the videos and have successfully completed belt replacement, a long-overdue coolant change, brake fluid flush, and a new iridium spark plug.
Yesterday I made my 4-hour drive from Mass to Maine through pastoral Maine farmland, stopping for an inspection sticker, and a delicious lamb burger at a food truck. I'm looking to cruising more backroads this summer. See you out there

That's an accomplishment. Good for you. I love New England. I'll be at Lake Winnipesaukee for a week in August. Wish I could get the Vespa up there but that's a trek for my old Boxster. I'm thinking of taking a day trip to Portsmouth while I'm up there.

My mom is from Maine. Grew up with no running water and an out house. They lived on a lake and boarded hunters and fisherman. They had a pack of sled dogs for the winter. Imagine that?

I am also looking forward to riding this season after a three-year hiatus due to surgery.
