A quick question for those who have converted smallframes to 12v and/or electronic conversion. Where did you install the regulator and cdi?

On the smallframe models with the small toolbox on the left side panel I imagine you can fit them like they done on an ET3. What do you do when there is no toolbox ?

Just put it under the gas tank or somewhere else inside the frame. That's what I've done with my largeframes and also what I expect I'll be doing with my smallier when I finally get to that point.

I used a SIP Vape regulator and made a bracket under the seat's hinge. For the CDI, I bought the following bracket that mounts on the existing coil holes. Comes near the shock…

Hey SaFis, did you mount the regulator to an interior brace? It looks like it's through the front of the frame and I'm too lazy to go back out to the workshop and look right now Razz emoticon

Of course. It's a bracket that's held by the seat's bolts…

I figured, but it wasn't clear from the picture and, like I said, I'm lazy right now.

Is under the seat safe with all the petrol that seems to spill on a Smallframe ? I thought a regulator can get hot.
