Hi All,

I'm hoping you can help me carb jetting please. I did a search first but I couldn't see any answers for me, in fact it confused me further - lol.
My Vespa is 1999 125cc with a 24 24 carb.
I fitted a lovely looking Scorpion stainless exhaust in the hope it would give me a bit more power but also because I love the look (what is about tig welding that's so attractive?). The scoot was a sod to start and when it did, it bogged on any throttle you gave it and sounded like it wanted to stall. I've heard about up jetting so I thought I would have a look at my jet. I think it's 120 BE4 112. I do have a spare jet which is 160 BE3 120. Would this work do you think? If not, please can you point me in the right direction. Thanks

Looks like you have a T5 with a 24/24G carb. You only need to up the main (112). You can try the 120 you have from the other stack. The stack is 3 pieces you take apart. Rule is start big to go small, so you need to buy a few more jets 122, 118, 116. I don't think you'll need anything bigger than a 122 with a stock motor. I run a 125 main with a Malossi 172 kit on my T5…

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated. I will do as you suggest.
A further Q, will my fuel tap cope or do I need a fast flow one? I don't think so personally from what I've researched but am happy to follow advice from the experts. Cheers.
