I had the mirror down there on all my GS/Rally/PX Vespas. Works fine. But these days I wouldn't want to have them so far from my line of sight.

No need to change suspensions but you'll need the "swing arm" SIP Series which is different depending on whether there's ABS or not.

I highly suggest upgrading the suspensions tough, the difference is immense (just my experience with my 2015 GTS)
