42's not cold. You just gotta get better gear!

42 is balls cold. F and That.

I'll test ride in the 40's or hop to the bodega for essential supplies (hams, wines, corn nuts). Otherwise, I will be safely tucked in to the garage.

Cool pic. Kinda American gothic vibe.

Indeed… after riding around this morning I have started putting back together the ET3 front end since my Mercato order arrived I am only now missing a speedo inner and a gear shift pulley (backordered). :-/

Between Mercato, SIP, and SC it was one month of finger tapping. Ordering bits at Xmas… 1 star not recommended.

My SC order from December has STILL only made it to Memphis. It's now been two full weeks since it made it stateside.

I've been to Memphis. There's not two weeks worth of anything there, so I don't know what it's doing.

As a Texan with strong California connections, I think you're legally required to love it. Razz emoticon

The OG turn signals have really grown on me on the Sprint. I need to show them some love, though. They're all in pretty sad shape these days. All of them have the crack where they attach to the stem, I've superglued a couple of them back together from pieces, and the rubber bases are all rotted pretty much completely away.

They're nicely visible under all conditions, though, and I never forget and leave them on.

I was riding 5 last winters. My personal record is -12º C. And lot of riding in snow. Or in the cold rain which immediately turns into ice.

This is absolutely ice. I rode in that conditions near 40 km. It was very hard. But I did it.

I don't miss that at all. I've ridden at -25C, but fortunately only for about 4 miles.

I laid my Stella down on snow and ice more times than I can count. Interestingly, I probably put close to the same number of snow & ice miles on my VBB, but never laid it down once. Lighter weight and that tiny bit closer to the ground made all the difference, I guess.

A blizzard hit while I was at work one time. It went from rain to ice to snow, so probably about what you were dealing with. At one point, I hit an icy patch, laid the bike down, and then it and I both slide out into the intersection of a busy road. Luckily there were no cars coming, because if there had been, they've have been just as unable to stop and would have slid right over me. I'm pretty sure my wife doesn't know that story. Razz emoticon

It's quick and easy, but in reality - purely looks. Facepalm emoticon

It's not as stable as the center stand and can be dicey in certain terrain. But I still have the center stand installed and sometimes use it, depending on where I'm parked...
