the 2025 Lambretta Jamboree is in Eugene, Oregon next year, July 17-20, so I'll be out there for that and can probably add an extra day on one side.

Oregon 100 would be hard for me in any case, because if it's late August every year, that's my anniversary. Plus getting scooters & gear out to Oregon for camping would be a bit tricky.

Which sucks because it all looks awesome. I'll have to get it figured out at some point.

The Southern Oregon TT is late July. This may be the year for me to get my TV back on the road.

Got out and put some miles on the Oi(L)! despite it being about 95F and sunny. I made a last couple carb and cable tweaks and the bike is now running and riding great. Power band lasts until almost 9,000 RPM's and the CHT never got over 280F. The flast spot at the bottom of 4th is also now gone.

So I hit The Parthenon, plus a random mural, plus rode all over town. I really gotta work on my photography skills, though, like framing and learning to hold the camera level.
Props for riding in the heat. The heat has kept me from riding for awhile or rather the humidity. Doesn't help that being an overly cautious rider, I insist on wearing a leather jacket and long pants. You probably wouldn't consider the weather we have here real heat. I will have to give myself a nudge and get used to it.

Had to grab some pizza dough for dinner tonight and since today is the first day since early June it hasn't been over 95° I took advantage of the nice hot weather and rode Bear. After the oil pump rebuild it seems to have stopped leaking oil. Not calling it solved yet though. Wanna get a few more trips in before I celebrate/take the oil pump blocking parts out of my Mercato cart.

Baby steps.

That's a sic lookin scoot, especially the photos when out and about.

I used to buy my pizza dough from Trader Joe's till I started making my own. I found a Bobby Flay recipe that's easy and really tasty. Makes good bread too.

I normally make my own too but didn't have time to this time so went a grabbed some better premade dough from the Fresh Market. It's definitely the better of the store bought dough around here.

And thanks for the scoot compliment. I'm stoked how the Sharkhide has held up now for 2yrs without having to touch it. Just some slight dusty rust is all. I was reminded how hot bare metal can get today though. Pushing the bike through my back gate and the cowl touched my leg. Oh boy that was a shock. Hottt.

I put an oil tank in the glovebox of my GL for a while. It worked perfectly once I primed the oil line. Eventually, I put a pre-mix motor in the bike and deleted the oil tank, but not for anything against the concept.

Friday that bike is just ace. Truly.

I had 13 days straight of work until yesterday.
Understatement to say I needed a couple days.
Great ride this morning on the SS and….AND… I passed the #birdwall on a small bodega on Northwood st.

Had to stop and grab some snaps…

Came across this little gem while out and about today. I used to have an R75/5 so I am somewhat familiar with these, but can't really tell if it is an R26 or an R27.

Looks like a R26. Missed out on a chance to pick up one about 20 years ago. I had a R75/5 at the time so at least I wasn't without a scoot.

I've felt bad about ignoring my scruffy AllState and spending all my time on my two Supers. I even stole the SIP Road muff from it to put on the Indo Super.

So I fitted a random P150 pipe to it and it still takes off like a little rocket ship! Then decided to fix a few things and pimp it out just a little - replace black rubber floor mats and leggy trim with the original style aluminum stuff.

A test ride through the neighborhood was now required to see if anything falls off.
Just so happened to be evening before trash pickup day. Some other guy also came to take a pic & asked if I was putting that scruffy old bike out in the trash too. *grrrr*

And yes, I was kinda tempted to adopt him.

As an aside, I went to Montana earlier this year and found out that elk and deer lose their horns every year and regrow them. A local showed me that they are actually more like hair (very stiff hair) than bone. He collects the fallen ones and sells them to tourists.
