Hibbert you didn't even give me two seconds to post after you sent me that pic!🤣

Just want to say I had a blast and really needed to experience how a Vespa feels during braking, shifting and handling through some twisties before mine is done. Thank you so much for letting me do that Hibbert!

Can't wait to get both our GS's on the road together!

Quick post of scoots seen at Mile High Mayhem in Denver. Hands down one of the best organized rally's out there. Put it on your calendar for 2025. It's worth it! I tip my cap to all the clubs involved. Sportique and Casa L too.

Was in the general area (Kingston/Plymouth) last month. In hindsight, would have been cool to cruise around some of those roads/towns on 2 wheels.

I attended a local mini-car show today and them old car guys do love old Vespas. It went well until it was time to go... then POP - clutch cable let go. So I got to practice clutch less shifting and even starting up from the one red light I couldn't avoid. Low idle in neutral that you shift into as you approach and the light does NOT turn green , then when it does push off as fast as you can and dump it into first, then match revs best you can to upshift.

It's a local part of Seattle's Seafair week. Later there will be THREE parades: kiddies parade, a doggy parade and then the main parade w/ floats, marching bands, clowns & Sherriff's posse ruffians shooting loud pistols and giving kids candy.

One of the frequent challenges with getting pictures in front of murals in Nashville is that it's hard to get to them when there aren't cars parked in front of them.

This morning, though, I got lucky and hit a bunch that were unobstructed while riding around after grabbing a breakfast burrito.

The Lammy is running great, which is good since it's going to be doing a couple hundred miles of touring next weekend.

The burrito was already in my tummy at that point.

I looked about like this guy, only with a burrito instead of a bowl of sushi. (His name is "Nomzilla," btw)

One of these weekends, I'm going to hit up all the tourist/bachelorette murals and take scooter pics in front of them.

Some of them will work really well with a scoot, I think. Now I just need to dig out my white cowboy boots and supr-short cutoff jeans so I won't stand out while I'm there.

Got out for a 40 mile shakedown ride today. Met up with a friend on his hawg, a custom vintage style Softtail. We took back roads around Roseburg and the Umpqua valley, with a few pitstops.

Starts up second kick, and it was a smooth ride overall. No explosions or major issue. After a few miles it was stalling when I'd come to a stop, then shift into 1st gear. The clutch was dragging and not fully releasing, a few turns of the adjuster set it right. Jetting is rich and boggy coming off 1/4 throttle - 3/8 throttle, then leans out and picks up again at 1/2 throttle. Temp got up to 280, on this hot 90° day, and would quickly drop when backing off throttle. It was a good run out!

August in Houston requires shade, and cold suds don't hurt either…
Don't mind if I do.

Now I feel even worse that I didn't pull over for pictures with some pretty random murals and roadside adornments on my ride up to Kentucky and back.

We rebuilt the fork on my Lammy, plus various other shenanigans. This silo was one of the turns of the offroad minibike racetrack around my buddy's property. It's a tight turn then a straightaway which runs across the driveway, which has a pretty big hump so we were all catching air.

I think my spine is now compressed a bit, but a good time was had by all.

I thought ShamWow was Vince Schlomi, the SlapChop Guy.

I also recall seeing that his given name is Offer Vincent Schlomi. Strangely apropos for a sales guy.

Give JJ partial credit; it's a vertical Minarelli. The chassis may say Yamaha, but the block is marked Moto Minarelli - Made In Italy all over the joint. Considering that the newest model of that scoot was an '01, it's starting to get old. Will qualify for vintage plates next year in several states.

Also, y'all crazy...in a good way.
