Just want to say I had a blast and really needed to experience how a Vespa feels during braking, shifting and handling through some twisties before mine is done. Thank you so much for letting me do that Hibbert! Can't wait to get both our GS's on the road together! ![]()

I attended a local mini-car show today and them old car guys do love old Vespas. It went well until it was time to go... then POP - clutch cable let go. So I got to practice clutch less shifting and even starting up from the one red light I couldn't avoid. Low idle in neutral that you shift into as you approach and the light does NOT turn green , then when it does push off as fast as you can and dump it into first, then match revs best you can to upshift.
![]() It's a local part of Seattle's Seafair week. Later there will be THREE parades: kiddies parade, a doggy parade and then the main parade w/ floats, marching bands, clowns & Sherriff's posse ruffians shooting loud pistols and giving kids candy. ![]() I got a nice spot in the shade next to this beautifully restored MGA
![]() A small car show, maybe 25 cars but lots of ppl checking them out and enjoying the music up the street and the food from more food trucks than there were show cars!

One of the frequent challenges with getting pictures in front of murals in Nashville is that it's hard to get to them when there aren't cars parked in front of them.
This morning, though, I got lucky and hit a bunch that were unobstructed while riding around after grabbing a breakfast burrito. The Lammy is running great, which is good since it's going to be doing a couple hundred miles of touring next weekend. |

Got out for a 40 mile shakedown ride today. Met up with a friend on his hawg, a custom vintage style Softtail. We took back roads around Roseburg and the Umpqua valley, with a few pitstops.
Starts up second kick, and it was a smooth ride overall. No explosions or major issue. After a few miles it was stalling when I'd come to a stop, then shift into 1st gear. The clutch was dragging and not fully releasing, a few turns of the adjuster set it right. Jetting is rich and boggy coming off 1/4 throttle - 3/8 throttle, then leans out and picks up again at 1/2 throttle. Temp got up to 280, on this hot 90° day, and would quickly drop when backing off throttle. It was a good run out! ![]() Pitstop photo op near the Umpqua river.
