We have a Govinda's here in Philly too. I haven't been in over a decade. Last few times I was there it didn't agree with me at all. They had gotten a new chefโฆ. Next time I'm out I'll pop by our Krishna temple and take a pic, it's very close to my house.

Weird thing was nobody would touch them, but I would eat all afternoon like a king! |

Finally did the first ride.
Gremlins! Clogged tank cap vent (I think). Loose spark plug connector. Ride a mile. Stall. Vent tank. Wedge plug cap under air bellows. Ride another mile. Repeat. Lacked tools for field fixes. But those are easy gremlins. Short 4th is nice. I'm not really sweating break in. Tank of 1%. Varied speeds. No max revs until after a couple tank fulls.

Did someone say Indian food? That's my fave.
I haven't been riding often so I haven't been posting much. But I just enjoyed an end-of-holiday weekend run this evening. There are many historic public and family cemeteries here in the Pioneer Valley, so I pulled over at one around the block from me in Greenfield. It seems Graves is as good a name as any to place on a headstone (rip). Bike still running strong and 2.5% mix seems just right. Hope you all ride safe.

Since I have some off-road riding experience I hold without problem. But on the way back engine rubber mounts said enough. Also shiny fresh paint on my P got lot of scratches. We eat lot of dirt and dust, was very tired but this was a real adventure. Absolutely love it. |

Gorgeous out today. 70ยฐ while I was out and about checking my carb tune. Went from BE3 to BE1 and turned the mix screw out another 1/4 turn and it's almost done. Gonna have to pop in a richer idle since I'm at 3 3/4 turns out I think. Going one or 2 richer should get me around the 2.5 turns out area I think. Anyways here's Wonderwallโฆ.
Stopped by the Civil War Memorial first
Then went to the other side of the city to the Krishna Templeโฆ which is just a regular old house here.

It's kinda wild honestly. |

It's pretty normal as Waffle Houses go. |

Went to one in Fort Lauderdale when I attended a vendor conference earlier this year. Was still good, not sure why I quit going. Our "choicest" intersection is Grant & Alvernon. Full of prime real estate, but equally full of fentanyl zombies. The Walgreen's closed due to theft. The Burger King was closed and bulldozed. The Church's Chicken burnt down (because drug lab) and was bulldozed. The Circle K closed up and was bulldozed. Someone was shot in the WalMart Neighborhood Market a few years back and the body just laid there until morning. Mom used to get mad that I would take her across town to a different Neighborhood Market... At least Nashville has character. Tucson has dirt and aggravatingly sharp plants. |

I was lucky to only bear witness to the calamity, but things could have certainly gone far more pear shaped for me had I been closer to the cacophony nucleus. Cliffnotes - Florida Panhandle, town of Midway. Big guy on bath salts or ketamine or who knows what extremely upset that his bacon wasn't crispy. (Seriously.) Mouthing and yelling at one of the female staff members. Johnny Upstanding at the stool adjacent verbally intervened to protect the honor and dignity of the wafflehouse lady. More yelling ensues, and then.... Shoving/scrambled eggs flying/punches thrown/teenagers cheering/waffle frisbees/more violence/police arrive almost instantly/more yelling/po-po assaulted by ketamine man. (I still ate my food before giving a statement as a witness.)
