My concern with solving that problem for IHOP is that it will lead to dilution of the critical "I'm drunk and lookin' for trouble at breakfast" demographic to the point where it becomes safe/boring to eat at any of those restaurants.

It's already gotten hard to find a Taco Bell or Jack in the Box that's overrun with obnoxious drunks at 2am.

Frankly, based on the current data, I'm concerned that our nation's Strategic Drunk Asshole Reserve is drawn down to the point that we'll be unable to meet the needs of a spike in demand for assholery, such as the new NFL season or, god forbid, a short notice Kid Rock tour.

The history of Sambo's is pretty wild. Basically one giant series of misbrandings.

Apparently those that persisted are now mostly Big Boys.

It has actually increased (The strategic drunk asshole reserve).

But now, with the advent of Uber eats and DoorDash, they are staying in their mother's basement pounding through racks of natty lite, and posting their drunk buffoonery on social media platforms, and small, random political sub forums while waiting for their greasy tacos and luke warm curly fries to be delivered.

This years RFTS was held in....FLORENCE!!!

I led the ride today to Yachats and back, with a couple of side roads thrown in. Weather was perfect, fish tacos perfect, BBQ at the end of the day perfect. And scooter talk - lots and lots of scooter talk - perfect!

What an awesome day. Smiles all around...
Huh?!…is was? Looks like missed the rally once against. Dang it, it's one of my favorite rallies. Lots of riding, good food, and camping! Just shows you just how connected i am to the scooter community.

YESSSSSS!!! I loved eating at that place on the oregon coast (Lincoln City) as a kid! It was my absolute favorite place to eat. If my parents had never taken me there, i would have never know how buttermilk was made.

How do you like that legshield mirror? I was looking at those, I do want a mirror on the VBB but most of the legshield mirrors don't fold, and I know my family members will crease my leggie the moment I put it on.

Does it work worth a shit or is it just for not getting a ticket purposes?
I have the same Halcyon Stadium legshield mirrors on six of my scooters (both L and R sides). They are 100% legit! The only downside it that the price recently went up $20~$25 for one. Bummer since i want to buy another pair or two for upcoming scooter project.

Each one of my mirrors i have to modify a smidge to get the glass facing the angle i like. Sometimes it's disassembling the whole thing and grinding down the mirror's pivot bolt, and sometimes it's trimming the included hard rubber clamp isolators to a better angle. For final install, i'll heat up the rubber isolators until they're good and pliable right before i clamp the mirror to the legshield. Sometimes i have to do that 2~3 times until i get it perfect. I which there was a way to slightly bend the cast aluminum arms a smidge, but i'd be afraid that they would snap off.

Month ago I had very nice but also hard 270 km trip with two guys on soft-enduro bikes. Lots of dirt roads and bad country roads. Since I have some off-road riding experience I hold without problem.
But on the way back engine rubber mounts said enough. Also shiny fresh paint on my P got lot of scratches.
We eat lot of dirt and dust, was very tired but this was a real adventure. Absolutely love it.

VERY cool pics! What an adventure ride! When riding offroad with a vespa in terrain like that, make 100% sure to remove the cylinder shroud before you get back on the highway! The cooling fan fins along with the cooling fan cover, make an excellent "lawnmower". The clippings are then sucked up behind the cover, into the shroud, then get packed between all the cylinder (and head) cooling fins, blocking off airflow. And once you get back on the highway, boom! The piston gets a heat seize.

Yeah, I got back from the first test ride of the green Stella after I fixed the ignition and was reminded that it had died at Band Camp--where the entire rally is off-road. The dried grass between the floorboards and the exhaust was starting to smoulder and the smell was not great.

Every bike at Band Camp needed fans and carbs cleaned by the end of the weekend.

Yeah, funeral homes are so humorless sometimes.

Great pictures! I street-parked in downtown Chicago year round for years. Not something you do with a bike you care about the appearance of, but you really cant beat a scooter for getting around town and being able to park once you get there.

Over here in the south of Spain street parking is either on the sidewalk or with other scooters in a reserved parking area for twee-wheelers.
Under a cover I would need a bungee strap to tie it taught as there will be a strong wind if one does not.

Out for a ride on the 200 after work yesterday after clearing the gas cap vent and changing the spark plug cap. One little glob of paint was the difference between riding down the road or being stalled out on the side.

Short 4th is a dream. Surprisingly the speedo is very accurate as checked with GPS and radar signs.

I have been using a knockoff GoPro camera to take video, which I will post on YouTube at some point, maybe with some editing.

I have been riding both bikes. Each has its own personality. I am stoked!

I won't go short 4th "all the way," but a lot of Vespas transmissions tried to game their gearing with an "overdrive" 4th that just isn't up to the job, especially for stock motors in hilly conditions.

Alternately, if you put a modern top end on it, then you're going to have the power to drive the gearing, but with the significantly higher max RPM's you now get stock and 99% of the time, the full 4th is wasted, so no reason not to shorten it.

to be specific - 36 tooth 4th in a P series gearbox any time. it's a no-brainer vs. the 35 if you have any hills in your area.

Ciaos are great for their simplicity and sketch factor. The suspension and fork just don't lend themselves to speed, bit they are fun to blast on.

Mazzy 10mm "anticipato" crank, an Olympia 64cc kit, a 13mm SHA and a Techno Circuit make for an exciting ride!

I'm partway there with a mazzy crank and 13mm SHA! Figured I'd focus on getting it running, period, before trying for go fast. It started as a $100 box of rusty parts from some dude in town.
