Yes, it's running pretty good, but still working out a few niggles. I have your frame in storage, but using your engine with another P200 frame. I'll post here the next time I have it out. I'm waiting for a couple parts, which will be in tomorrow, but the temps are supposed to be pretty cool. The tuition is pretty steep for this learning experience, but very gratifying.

We rode down the Nachez Trace on Friday and the only other guy that rode laid his bike down on a patch of leftover snow on the road. He was fine, but some minor scrapes on the right side and a broken front brake lever.

By the time we were ready to head back, it was snowing again, windy, and temps in the low 20's so I took the offer of a truck slot to get mine home.

There's no shame in that. Too easy to lay a scoot down when the white stuff is on the road. You may have kept yourself (and the scoot) out of a lot of trouble.

We'd already had one scoot down on the same route I'd be riding back over, and that was *before* all the meltwater on the road turned into black ice.

We need to start the line on ham bets for the Explosion Clock going 365 with incident.

I've de facto got a lot of money riding on the timer for that clock, since every time it resets, I'm buying a bunch of expensive go-fast parts.

TBH, I'm kind've surprised I never killed the Lammy, but it's still going strong with a LOT of high-speed miles on it.

If I'd let it get really out of hand, the M1LXL GL probably would have done it, but right now it's just a bunch of high quality parts delivering a very underwhelming experience, so it'll last forever until I figure out what's going on there.

But compounding things, the GL's front fork decided to get loose, so I gotta figure that out, which I think is going to be a fork drop and new bearings. Maybe that can happen this weekend since that's an inside-only project...

Another 100 days to go? I dunno man, that puts us into late April/early May with the fever riding high to get scoots running fast and blast down the roads with abandon.

Let's not get all crazy-talk here! That front end spent a lot of time in the air (and then slamming back down), so it's really no surprise that it's now having some issues, even if the tread on the tire looks great for its age.

Remember, my problem has never been ignoring problems until they explode, my problems have generally been more in the "if it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is" column.

Well, we are all getting a little older, bones don't heal up as fast, hospital stays are a bitch, getting the "what the hell are you up to now" glare from the missus - it all adds up to HAVING to be a little more careful. It's a tough life.

A balmy 38 degrees here in lower New England. Warmest in weeks. Had to go for a ride. Cold fingers...

Ran some errands in the Blue Bomber, then stopped and had a Mocha and Coffee Cake Muffin at my favorite coffee house under the bridge. A nice time indeed....

As someone who is in the New England frozen zone and who has seen the very thick ice, I want to scoot on it. ATVs are driving on it, it's thick. if I had a sidecar or training wheels, I could do it too! But with just the two wheels, I don't think I'd get far.

Maybe I need a few mods. Two skis/ice skates up front, and a studded drive wheel in the back. A NSM snow machine, if you will. It'd be just like Roman Holiday but after the holiday and in a much colder place.
