Twice. Two years ago. Once going north and once coming back through going south. Lovely town. Picked up a scoot in SoCal made a run to Washington state to visit relatives and then back south again to hook up with I-10 at the Santa Monica pier and head for home.

AmeriBodge looks to be in top shape, tastefully bodged & nothing irreversible.

Meanwhile, I just dug my PKs out of 9 months storage. The PK125XL started right up after 3 kicks. The GrecoBodge Plurimatic converted to PK50XL2 power was more of a challenge getting the clutch, shifter & carb dialed in but now she's a fairly reliable runner.

I always love when you're in Greece, Terry. Your pictures are always so interesting.

I went nowhere so interesting, just a trip to the doctor, but I did pause along they way to grab this shot. Best I could do for fresh content on a familiar route.

No, that's the power that's run up to the AFR which is currently on the bike. It'll come off once I'm a little further along with setting up the carb.

It lets me identify rich and lean spots in the setup better than anything else I know.

Looking good for this coming week finally here in Philly. Been a looooong cold winter. Next week is looking real nice. Can't wait to break Bear and Bluey out from their hibernation.

We had two nice days last week but I had crap to do so couldn't get out.

First ride of the year. A chilly 61° out but worth every second of it.
This building has been quite a few things. A hotel in the 1800's, a police station in the early 1900's and then a park rangers office in the 70's and 80's to now being just a storage space, too many floods from the creek nearby.

Went to the post office, and took a little jaunt up North Fork to Bender Landing. And it's 48 degrees

I always say when asked, what's my favorite scooter, that it's the one I'm riding. That's essentially true, but my smile is bigger when riding the Blue Bomber. Such a fun scooter!

Yeah, but you get a warm wind with that 61…. We still have the arctic air blowing around. Plus I have zero cold or cool weather riding gear.

It was 65 by the time I got back and much more pleasant.

V oodoo: Terry, about the PX, exchange the red and white wires on the flasher relay and check if the front are now working and the rear not. If yes, one output of the relay is dead, replace. If it's the same, check behind the turn signal switch there's a chance one of the wires has broken and needs re-soldering...

Chris, I can't thank you enough, it was the flash relay as you suggested. I finally unburied it behind the battery & swapped it for an extra I had on hand. Now perfect flash all four corners.

But the starter is cutting out again Livid emoticon I've double checked the clutch wire and the push button, but do I recall there is a little red magic box that won't let you engage starter if motor is running?

Sorry for tangent, but this is one Vespa I definitely want to LEAVE THE HOUSE

It's probably the relay, which is annoying because they're so cheap that I've only ever been able to buy them in bulk (like a dozen at a time).

Connect the horn and press the horn button before trying the starter. If it works, the interlock safety relay is going bad. I just remove them, you just need to bridge the pink and black wires coming out the loom. This bypasses the interlock and connects the starter button straight to the starter relay. Tape up the other two (grey and pink coming from the clutch switch) and you're done...

As for the starter relay, if you're going to replace it, get the new type which is better and super cheap (OEM code: 58115R)...

If you mean the the interlock safety relay, I think that's it, it's solid state and no good way for me to check it. If you mean the mechanical starter solenoid, it seems solid and engages every time I jump the action terminal.

My horn honked w/ key on and motor not running so looks like the the interlock safety relay is whacked. i'ma try the SaFiS plan in the morning. Thank you again for leading me out of the PX electrical wilderness.

This is probably my favorite thread. Love seeing everyone's scoot out and about. Hope to have the GS on here soon as well.

I laughed.

No Vespas leaving the house for me because the weather is like this all weekend. Boo.

I tried cleaning the workshop, but it's just not the same.
