Not exactly the "Vespa that left the house" photo we like around here…clutch cable broke while I was out working so I had to jump ship till I was off work to come rescue it. I usually keep a spare with me but I used it already. I keep breaking cables at the lever and I've even swapped out a few levers, this one being brand new. Cables lubed. Not sure what it is. Probably go through 3ish cables a year.

Three clutch cables per year seems like a lot. I ride almost daily with heavy pull clutches and and almost never break cables. Take a look and you'll probably something that's rubbing/wearing/mis-aligned.

You realize what you did there? You'd better have some clutch cables handy.

I have at least two or three full sets of cables, plus pinch bolts, a 4th hand tool, 7 & 8mm wrenches in my glovebox. Maybe that's my secret.

If this one breaks before winter I'll take it all apart and look. I probably should have last night but I needed the scooter for work this morning and I didn't get into my garage till about 1130 last night. So I just replaced it quick.

That looks way better than my day, which was sitting on conference calls while it rained outside.

Of course, tomorrow starts WKAARP in Cincinatti, so I should have lots of photos of Vespas which have left the house next week.

I haven't taken my Vespa home after ROM yet. It's been living in the warehouse at work.
I have been enjoying regular lunch rides. Today I finally stopped for a picture.

This is at the top of Prefumo Canyon Rd. Those of you who made it out to ROM in 23 & 24 will recognize this view.

I missed Easter here, but finally made it back to Kefalonia, my Greek island. I also missed the bumper to bumper Easter traffic and jammed full ferry boat with no place to sit by waiting a bit which was nice.
Ferry was maybe 10% full. This is the upper car deck, trucks, buses and a lot more cars fit below on main vehicle deck but mostly just some trucks and a few buses this run.

I really like having my Vespa at work.
Going out for quick 30 minute rides on my lunch sure make my attitude better.

Maybe I need another scooter so I can keep one at work full time.

I made a run on Pluramatic today to track down some electrical contact cleaner hoping to get both hi and low beam on the headlight working on the PK50 we are just finishing. Thought I'd snap a pic of this somewhat dramatic sight I spotted during my hunt. (I finally got some, but something is still outa whack )
