Things got a bit rowdy at Band Camp. This is where my Sprint, which was the raffle bike this year, turned up on Saturday morning.

Needless to say, the winner was super-stoked when he took it for a spin and realized what he'd won.

That's good old rally shenanigans right there!

I want the full story on that!

Band Camp is ALL about the shenanigans.

Funny thing is that the full story (at least from my perspective) is, "It was parked up by the barn (visible in the background) when I went to bed that night, and when I got up the next morning, it was hanging from the goalposts."

I'm pretty sure I know which club did it, and it wasn't us. We're too lazy for anything that involves that much lifting.

Yup, nasty pothole in southern Oregon two years ago. Have a replacement, but have not got round to swapping it out. Now that the tread on the tire is gone too I guess it's about time.

Wow, that's a good one! On my recent trip through Baja I met two different riders that broke their front wheels from some exciting potholes. Both cases needed welding but the locals delivered on each repair.

I drove up to Livermore for Pleasanton Vesparadoes' Vespa Parade Day. We met at CalMoto for a relaxed ride to Ramona Park in San Ramon then into Livermore for lunch. A fun morning out with a great bunch of riders!

But you were there and representing! Well done!

How the fun ended. Temps spiked, shut it down and found this. Apparently a smart carb is heavy enough to bounce off the manifold.

Vespa Parade Day with Vespa Club San Jose. Started out in downtown SJ, rode through Willow Glen, Campbell, Los Gatos, then back to Campbell for lunch.

Back in my youth, my boy scout troop used to go down to Glen Rose to go camping every year or so. I wonder if it's recovered from our visits yet.

It was for National Lambretta Day, but Band Camp is not the sort of rally you'd normally take your Lammy (or any decent scooter, really) to.

It's more like Midwest Scooter Burning Man.

I thought that was "El Coucho". It's based on a Honda Elite, IIRC.
