If it takes 10 minutes to fix on a vespa, on a lambretta it takes 30 (and you will need to double your swear jar budget along with the aforementioned parts budget).

What pipe is that?

The pipe is a racing exhaust sip performance 2.0. It's a good match for a Mallosi sport. Mine is only 210, but with a phbh 30 mm carb, I've seen low 90s mph at a mile above sea level. I'm pretty pleased with the whole setup!

It must have been 5 hours: 6:30 to 11:30 more or less. Actually, I was enjoying myself so much that when I was at the point I usually circle back home, I checked the gps to see how far I still was from the city where a guy on discogs is selling a record I want (Rouen), and it said about an hour. I sent the guy a message on the off chance he was around and willing to do the transaction that same evening, but I haven't heard back. That would have been a cool detour, but it will be a cool trip on its own later.

Just to point out that once I'm in the area, there's nothing but a lot of probably interesting roads to try, and not much holding me back from doing so apart from the need to get back home sometime.

You mean mainly Birkenstocks.... I used to think you had to be named Olaf or Helmut to wear those, until I tried a pair on. They're actually comfortable, supportive, and safe to some extent. (They stay on your feet unlike flip flops which always seem to try to slip from under your heels when walking, and they have actual soles you could try to brake with).

I was actually pondering the option, as this was my first such ride since non-jacket weather kicked in, when a guy on a T-Max stopped next to me at a red light, with his left flip-flop sticking out perpendicular to his foot. Got it on wrong or something but wasn't bothered by it. THAT's what decided it for me

I think I can fit more groceries.

Took Bear for a tuning ride today. I switched up all the jets.

Went with 140/BE3/126 59.5/160 (home made obviously) idle. Started the mix screw way rich and have progressively turning it in 1/8-1/4 turns at a time. Not sure where it's set at now, but plug is dark chocolate so still a bit rich. 4 stroking is almost gone, limited to just when the throttle starts to open. Much more enjoyable to ride now. Have no speedo or tach or temp gauge right now so no clue what my temps were. Either way it was such a nice ride I don't wanna throw this bike in the river anymore!

Nice! Nothing wrong with homemade jets! I got a 60/120IJ in my Scoot now!

Thank you thank you. Lubed her up this afternoon, now she's got a nice shine to her. Should have time tomorrow morning for another go before we head to North Jersey for the start of travel hockey season. I really wish it didn't start till October though. It's too warm for hockey still!

When I got this p not too long ago the main problem was I had a single yellow stator and needed a double yellow. Fixed that. Then the exhaust had holes in it => got a road 3. Then mysterious oil started showing up on my shifter cables and kick starter area. I chased it down to the cylinder head. Doh. Well this Vespa has had loose bolts every time I checked something but lo and behold they were not all torqued right. So torqued them all and went on a nice long ride where I found this nice 60's architecture relic. When I got home no more oil flowing from the cylinder head

between my "commute" to the ride start (98k's each way) and the (approx, didn't count it) 300klm ride, covered 554 for the day (at an average of 71KM/H FWIW, not bad!)

very nice scenery, don't do the Go-pro thing so no images from me on the road, but can recommend if you are anywhere near Victoria's central district!

Straight home to wash the bugs off and get ready for the Monday work-blues with a thump!
