See!!! I knew that I was not Bad, greedy, insane…. I only have 4 and 1 is Not My fault! If you only put a few (3-4) tickets in a raffle drawing then it's Lady Luck to blame, right? So, ya, I'm ok, and I ride mine, in rotation, at least the modern 3. yes, i do need to get that clutch back together and in the '78 and then chase information on that 180 cylinder it now has and correct mm for the valve adjustment stuff…. That's the part that scares me, yes, I have done it, with a book on a Honda Rebel, on cars, years ago but I have a huge, and stupid fear of messing that job up and ruining that precious treasure…. But I do get asked at work about selling (cheaply, of course) 1 of those I ride and no, I do not need them, but yes, I earned the $$ and good credit that allowed me to buy them. I support their costs, do as much of the maintenance as possible and NO, I am NOT selling any. But I do advise people to go check out a dealership or 2 that I do business with.

I wish I could stick to one marquee. I want all the dumb little bikes so my fleet is quite heterogeneous.

At one point I had it down to just Italian other than my TGB. Now there's Italian, Spanish, French, American, Taiwanese, Slovenian, Austrian, Indian…..

I do. And I just drove 10 hrs round trip upstate to grab a 6th one!

They are around. But you definitely have to be more patient in our neck of the woods.. or willing to drive a distance when they pop up.

I've driven upstate to Boston and to Florida for a vespa project!

the only advice I can give you is this: ascertain what is junk and what is sellable and what you want to keep. throw out the trash. have a plan for the stuff you wanna keep. the big bits sell off on the quick and dirty. list it for 100 take anything close to 75 kinda deal. be willing to wheel and deal and eat or split shipping. the little bits, collect and sell as a package that'll fit in a flat rate and price accordingly.

it's like someone, somewhere might need parts for a frame. you've got a trash bent up frame? cut that mess up and ship it.

add the newfound profit to the scooter slush fund.

rinse and repeat.

wait? do frames count too? or just complete bikes or like, complete bikes that have been taken apart? like, what if you have a frame that you may have obtained, and an engine you have on the shelf and enough other things and stuff to put something together that could ostensibly be a running riding bike?

if so... I may be in trouble...
