So my 2016 Primavera 50 70th anniversary just left me stranded. I had to leave it in a parking lot.

So odd. Have NEVER had trouble before. I should have taken a picture, but I didn't.

I drove it to lunch… no problem. Let lunch and it keep stalling out. Started just fine… then conked out. Over and over.

I removed the pet carrier and saw a pair of tubes… one of them seemed to be severed - and the other end of it goes to something attached to the side. Sorry, I'm not much of a mechanic.

Any ideas to try ?? Feels like a fuel issue… water in the line or ??

No idea.

Very sad.

If yiu unthread it from the wrapping g and remove a cable tie yiu might have enough to attach where it was cut. Enough to start and get home

Yeah. Good news is that looks like an easy fix...

Yeah. Bad news is that looks like it could have been done on purpose...

OP: To be totally clear, we're worried someone has deliberately sabotaged your machine, so as to leave it stuck there, so they can more easily come back and take it. Don't just move your machine, move it fast.

The vacuum hose that opens your fuel tap has crumbled. No sabotage. Please don't make up crazy theories. Call a friend when a truck. You won't be limping home.

Remove the old pieces and get the length. Take a snippet of hose to an auto parts store/moto and buy some gas resistant vacuum tubing. Replace and crank. It'll take a while until the carb is refilled with gas. If your battery is weak, put it on a tender now to help it out. It's gonna be cranking for a while till the carb is refilled.

Thanks. Much appreciation.

But it was cut it was cut at my house. And that's not likely. I have cameras everywhere.

A hose mender/splicer will allow you to quickly fix the break until you can get it home and replace the whole hose.

All the hoses looks like they need to be replaced. If he hose is brittle enough I guess it could break in half. I would check your security cameras

Nope. Have more wine or maybe stop? Clean break. It happens with deteriorated vacuum lines at sharp angles.

Very common occurrence with carbed vacuum lines and ethanol gas.

Have you had it from new?

Looks a tad short from the pic - it may have had a leak/crack before, and shortened (ie dodgy bit cut off)if the break was close to a connecting end (either the carb, or the petcock).

Either way, get all the lines changed. They love to deteriorate.

Check out this fuel line (the main crack/hole was underneath the black protective sheath, so was never spotted). Had it separated, from the top, it would have looked like more or less a clean break.

The rest of it looked fine when there was fuel in it… but once removed and dried, there were tiny cracks all over it.

Anyway, looks like deterioration rather than odd behaviour from passer by. If it was deliberately cut, would we say that their jugular is fair game (tit for tat and all that!)? 🤣

I have a mobile guy coming out to look at it on Wednesday morning.

It was NOT cut. I confirmed that - I tried to put a coupler in and another section broke - just as clean a break as the first one. So that's a relief.
And I reviewed cameras - no hanky panky.

Thanks, all, for all your insight and help.

After a while, they start to feel like Gummy Bears, then dissolve.
