Hello! I am new to this forum and new to owning a Vespa. I recently purchased a 2008 S150 that had been sitting a few years. I pulled the carb and cleaned it up and have been cruising it around a week or so and its awesome.

My question is about the paint. It has this really cool design on the side lots of metal flake and air brush from the looks of it. I will post a few pictures and let me know if you have seen anything like it. I have done some research and haven't been able to find anything like this paint scheme.

Interesting and certainly a custom job. Also a good way to repair scratches/gouges on the cowls of a modern Vespa resulting from a low speed drop or a tipover.

Thank you for your reply! Hopefully I don't have any low speed drops with that paint job going on. I've owned motorcycles for 10 years managed to not drop my Goldwing so I think I'll be good.

Welcome to MV. Nice looking custom paint job. Does it have a cosmic backstory that the previous owner shared with you? Does the scheme carry on through to the leg shield?

Not my call, but the paintwork would look much better if that warning sticker was removed

Thank you for the welcome! The seller was very interesting to say the least. The day I purchased the bike the owner was too drunk to go drive to the notary. But the asking price was only $500 so I was not passing it up. Even for a non running scooter that had been sitting a few years. So no cool backstory about the paint job I'm assuming it was done by the original owner and yes it is only on the rear fenders.
