The German Eifel is a favourite place for many in the Netherlands, Belgium and the west of Germany for a quick day or weekend trip. It's a mountain range of max. 747 meter above sea level, so it's not that high. But it's got some great roads and typical lovely German villages nevertheless. And for many, it's a lot closer than the Alps.

I took a daytrip last week, running 600+ kilometer. The GTS performed flawlessly, though with about 200 km at WOT, she did drink a bit of oil (no, it's not an HPE). But I'm okay with that.

The following is a short video of the highest mountain road in the Eifel: the Hohe Acht. It's very close to the Nürburgring and one of the many nice roads in the Eifel.

Mopmop,

Very good video - thanks for sharing. It looked like the road surfaces
were smooth and well maintained. Nice smooth cruising.

It is amazing how the trees and landscape looks a lot like Northern
Minnesota. Although, Minnesota was flattened by Glaciers 12,000
years ago. Benefit, the retreating Glacier gouged out 10,000 Lakes.
Minnesota aka "The Land of 10,000 Lakes".
