Anyone have experience with this vendor? Their website shows that they have the Malossi VR-1 case in stock for a decent price. I have had my eye on this case for a long time. I don't really need it right now, but I want it…slow gathering of parts for the eventual dream engine in a way that won't devastate my budget. Feel free to pm me if it's not ok to discuss vendors.

Thanks!

I have ordered parts from him, mostly for modern scoots. Older 2 stroke parts I get from Scooter Mercato. Both great to deal with.

So I ended up ordering the Malossi case last Thursday and so far, no update on the order other than it has said "processing" and "packing slip" which it has since the day I ordered it and my credit card was charged. No answer to emails or phone messages.

Jorge is good people and I've bought a TON of stuff off him.

I know that SIP is currently being difficult with their order fulfillment and shipping. I ordered some stuff from him at the beginning of June and it took a hot minute because stuff was stuck in France at the airport due to strikes and then Fedex held it up in customs. but once it was stateside I had in two days.

not getting an immediate response is frustrating, and I get that; but understand for all shop owners-- even us BS indy guys, we are up to our eyeballs in it right now. it's peak peak season and the texts, calls and emails are just burying us.

try shooting him a PM, he usually gets back fairly quickly.

My Malossi VR-1 case arrived yesterday. It's a work of art. $809 with the reed block and plumbing, studs, bearings and silent blocks. I think that's quite good.

At this point, I have no immediate plans for it as I'm in the middle of a complete rebuild on an LML based 187 with a Polini kit. I have no business at this point in my learning curve messing with big reed carbs and spendy kits, but there will come a day.

I chose the reed based case because I thought it would give me more options in the long run.

My cases came with one piece bearings for the crankshaft. Ordered a two piece one for the flywheel side to make joining and splitting the cases a lot easier.
