i have to say, looking at the UA carb, the only carb slide of similar size that i have ever seen is one from my Honda Cub 50 cc 4 stroke. that was really slowly, maybe top of 70k.

I don't understand this can you please explain. Scooter center and Sip have 1st over for a VBA 150 as 57.2mm. That cylinder is listed as being 57.15 couldn't you use a 1st over piston?

I thought he wanted to use the 57.15 bore with the 57.87 piston. way out of specs..
The reality is that the VNA cylinder should not exceed a 54.8 mm bore and this is now at 57.15mm going to next size over to 57.2mm. This cylinder is too thin and there is not enough meat to go next size over. In addition the 57mm piston (150 cc) is not suitable for the VNA 125 cc cylinder, the shape, size of wrist pin are different. Jets also would have to be replaced. . With the cost of buying a new piston, rebore the cylinder again, it will be better off to get a complete VNA unit with few dollars more. Putting a 150 cc piston designed for 57 mm stroke and rotary pad technology on a piston ported cylinder is not the right thing to do. Ideally you want to keep your bike stock to preserve their value.

Vna cylinder are pretty easy to find.
No matter how cheap 150 cc cylinders are , they don't fit on a 125 cc VNA engine .

What would this one do? There was a post recently about a guy being able to use this cylinder with no case modification.

I'm Not sure what it would do , but my opinion is surely something I would never take into consideration for a VNA engine restore of rebuilt .

Where can a person buy these cylinders? I have been looking at a first over piston and it's ~$90.00

Any pictures from side? I can't see an intake port on cylinder. 2nd over isn't bad either.

So I battles for hours to get the tap out. Even made a custom tool. But in the end, had to use rattle gun to get it out. Issue is that the mesh is totally shot.
I believe this is a small-hole tank and only sip sell the correct tap. At $70
Guessing it's not fixable and you can't buy the mesh?

because one of them has the cable support snapped off. If you look carefully, you can see that the thin webbing has broken off. i'm guessing the one with a larger casting is the one for the clutch as it stays longer in the handelbar as you rotate it

All, this thread has gone a bit quiet. Could use some help.
Latest is that I was double checking the dimensions before finalizing the order and I discovered that the clutch side bearing looks bigger then the other side. See photo.
All Vespa bearings seem to be listed as 62 mm, but opening is 68.
Is there supposed to be a bushing or a spacer ?

But the brass insert look very thin- about 1.5 mm. It's not going to make up the size difference, is it ?
