Found my winter project and a keeper stablemate for the smallframe.
Original paint, low mileage.running and complete
Looking forward to getting started on it and the adventure of riding on 8"s. LG

Just beautiful! She is stunning, so original - even a few honest minor dents. Look at those floor rails! Where ever did you find this??? And very nice tail light you got there ...

Found it in Mobile Alabama.
Will be adding a front shock, will have Matt at Mercato build it as a 177 with a 24.24 carb, box exhaust and Vape 12V AC conversion.
I'll go thru all the suspension, brakes, cables and a new conversion loom.
It just gets washed, rubbed, polished and waxes.
Been looking since finishing the P and most things were fairly rough for not much less money.
"You have to kiss a lot of frogs till you find your prince (or in this case princess).
Named her Lucy and I'm sure Elena will be very pleased to have a same year big sister.

quick note... I found my 177 was actually happier with a 20/20 as opposed to a 24/24. YMMV, fwiw, etc etc.

What year(I think Eleni is 1965?), what motor, how many gears?

Not a round tail but has MM tail light like a newer white '66 BlueBadge. But I am no AllState expert!

Elena is also a '64, Lucy is 4 speed, 125, rotary intake with a flat rear panel. The complete intact Mickey Mouse light is a bonus.

Received a few more photos from the seller. Closeup of the metal model tag confirms that it is a '64 not a '64.
I looked at another'65 that was in rough condition and it also had the Mickey Mouse taillight.
It will be interesting to look at the serial number to see if it was late in the '65 build series and trimmed out as a '66.
Inquiring minds want to know.

Don't plan on doing any touch up, just "wax on wax off" over and over.

Yes but .... that's the part but SIP rates the Bajaj quality as "Grade C - low-priced repairs" and you would then need to add this kit of random bits to complete it:

I knew there was a simple answer it's just all new to me.
Yet another learning exercise to keep my old brain cells active.

And furthermore, sticking my nose in here, I would consider selling that incorrect bonus tail light on to somebody who is desperate for the correct piece for THEIR project for properly expected lots of dough , to finance this tail light which is PROPER for Lucy, IF you find that MM light was not original here as it might have been.

https://www.scootermercato.com/Scooter-Parts/Taillight-Assemblies/21098 This is a high quality production taillight form the original manufacturer Siem. This has been updated from the original to use festoon bulbs with a much more secure mounting than the one made in the 60's.

My guess would be that the MM tail light is original to this bike. Would not be the first allstate I've seen with it.

Just talked with Joe Casola who is doing my title. He confirmed that the end of run '65 models had the Mickey Mouse tail lights and that it was a very small number of units.
Thr other '65 I as looking at also had a Mickey Mouse on it.

Kilow posted the photo of the VBB fork on his build thread and I ask him to take the measurement A from the top of the fender brace to the bottom of the upper shock bracket. It is exactly the information I needed to get my fork modified.
Hopefully it's helpful to other Allstate owners.

Lucy has arrived. Denver James dropped hr off old picked up Balena Bianca to transport her to Kilow in Connecticut.

Decided to clean Lucy up and take her to the basement shop.
Everything seems to work. Shift and throttle tubes rotate, brakes and clutch operate, steering and swingarm bearings sound dry, some rust in the tank so not trying to start.
Will begin complete disassembly soon.

soooo.... you're taking it all apart to treat the rust, and then clean and polish the OG paint run wires and cables and do a full mechanical rebuild, right?

That's exactly correct. The same thing I did with the 1964 V90 I bought from V oodoo in 2018.
New mechanicals and electrics and lots of "wax on wax off"

Had some time to pull things apart today and no real surprises.
Gear oil looked and smelled fine. No frozen/broken bolts or farmer fixes. Motor really clean. Front end will need some attention.
Wanted to know if there was anything that needed attention beyond my skill level.
She is a really nice solid 57 year old scooter.

Did those old Allstates come without the rectangular badge in front? I see the space for it but no badge.

Only the very first year ones did I think and even then they were "Allstate" ones not Piaggio in 1952?
