So I ran a search in the forum but I couldn't find the answer.
New battery installed in 81 p200e every two weeks dead and I drive 100 miles a week. I changed the regulator and still have the issue?
Thanks in advance

So a voltage meter was put on when running and it showed it wasn't charging so the scooter mechanic suggested the regulator and it's an easy do it your self job and it was.

Since you're taking scoot to a mechanic for a dead battery, do you know how to use a mutimeter? Can you read a diagram? If you can't or don't want to learn take it back to mechanic but prob one that has a clue about these old machines. We gonna need pics. Not that the problem is hard to figure out but seems like something is not connected right, wrong regulator or bad stator. Your mechanic or you should have used the diagrams in the link above that match your scooter to make sure regulators is correct and wires are connected right. Scooter running, need to check yellow wire for over 20 ac volts. Check grey wire for over 13 dc volts. Upload pics of battery side with battery and connected regulator for better assistant of what really going on. |

Will do thanks, I used the coil just a point of reference I realize it doesn't have a coil. The scoot was at the mechanic to install disc front brake and I asked him about the battery situation. I will check the fuse in the am again thanks
