Normally use an ET4 but occasionally nice to take out the luverly jubbily Rat 50cc boosted to 70cc. Bought in a batch of 3 scooters for £30 each from the scrap yard and this one was the only one with reg doc and keys. The Vespa got stripped of engine and parts and kept for future project and spares and rest scrapped as couldn't justify getting a reg doc for the work needed. The other done up and sold on can't remember what make though.
Anyhow for local runs this does fine with over 16,000k on it built as cheaply as possible to see what can be done. No expense spared on wood filler, stitching the plastic panels back together, parcel tape and old bits of fibre glass sheet found dumped up the road. Vacuum feed replaced with proper on/off/reserve tap as no working fuel sender and fully road legal with mot and road tax or whatever they call it these days for just under £105. Sits for months and starts easier than Vespa.🙂
