Once again, my profession has me moving. This time to Brevard County, FL. Unlike Seattle, and Austin I cannot find hardly any scooter related activity. Pretty much zero Vespa/Lammy, vintagey shenanigans. With the weather and all, you'd think there'd be tons. At least in Orlando or something. Maybe my google skills just suck. Somebody help me out.

I've picked up quite a few vintage Vespas in Brevard near my sister's place (Palm Bay and Melbourne) and further down south near my parents place (port St Lucie and West Palm). There is also a guy in Orlando area that is always listing vintage bikes. And another one in Tampa area So people are around. |

I'll be back in Texas for the Hill Country at least. I'll be a stone's throw from Cocoa Beach. Down to rally even if it's a small bunch. Or just me.

I live in Mims (north Brevard) and ride my P2 all over. All my scootin buddies are around Orlando and Tampa. So I go on occasional rides with them whenever possible, though it's harder now working 6 days a week. But I do go to the Tampa Two stroke rallies almost every year. The next one is the end of September and Im going. Off wednesdays but work second shift, so PM if ya wanna ride or get hooked up with a few others who aren't on MV but ride vintage. As far as Orlando, we're not quite as organized as we were back in the day. But come to the rally and meet em all. Cool dudes

I'm from SE Florida, but moved up to SC 16 years ago. There never were many bike groups outside of the usual Harley bunch. Even the Vintage Japanese group only got together a few times a year. Six month summers tend to keep get togethers down from April to mid-October.

There is a decent amount of activity nearby. Many vintage scooterists in Orlando as well as the Vulcans, Space Coast Scooter Crew, now Scooter Crew is generally central FL, Jacksonville 7 Bridges Club, and never forget Tampa Two Stroke!
Sleep Away Camp is always a ton of fun! http://www.tampa2stroke.com/sleep-away-camp.html

I joined this forum because I couldn't find any space coast scooter group info either! Recently moved here and sold my Piaggio before I left. Regretted it, so bought a Vespa last week. Back in the game!! I'm in Palm Bay and would love to get some people together to ride. Orlando is just too far for me. I don't want to ride an hour just to get to the start of the ride. Tampa and Jacksonville are definitely not what I'd call nearby.

So,
Looks like we'll arrive 9/9. Scooters will be in storage until we can get a permanent location. I may be scooterless for a month or two but, always down for social revelry. |

Wickham Park is nice, and big. A big RV park where everyone I know down there has a big 4th of July party, they take up a whole section of the RV park with their RVs and do a full pig BBQ. Plenty of space to drive around on vespas and mopeds.
I drove up from Port St. Lucie up route 1 to Wickham Park two summers ago for that 4th of July party. If you go.. make sure you take a nice long ride down route 1 along the water. |

Other than Ian, been pretty nice since I've been here. I came from Texas so, dealing with heat is not unusual for me. Just recently got a house and the bikes transported. Just need to sort a few things and be ready to ride.

I decided to create a FB page since, there isn't one that I can find. Hope is to at least get some cool hapenings or people sharing things they know of around the area.
