The tires are currently 90/80 16" front and 100/80 14" rear. The rims are 2.15" wide front and 2.50" rear. These can take much larger tires but I suspect the other clearances such as the fenders might limit the maximum widths possible for these rims. Does anyone have any experience. I would like to go 110/80 or 120/70 on the front 16" rim. Then how about 130/80 or 140/70 for the 14" rear?? It would be for my 2022 Liberty 150cc.

There's probably a reason piaggio fitted a certain tyre size on the liberty . You could probably go up 1 size ie 100 front and 110 back but that might mess up the agile handling this scooter is known for
