Modern Vespa

Hello. Is there a convex mirror option available (either OEM or aftermarket) for my ET2?

You know... the "objects may be closer than they appear" type.

Currently it has flat glass, with a 1:1 ratio. Poor field of vision... widow makers if you ask me.

Of course, as per my training I continue to perform 'life saver' looks over my shoulders, however in busy traffic, fast approaching vehicles have a habit of sneaking into what I can only describe as rather large blind spots.

With riding a 1200cc bike too - I feel that things happen a lot quicker on the Vespa than the Hardly Dangerous for some reason. Less controlled is how I'd describe it.

I had those CG spot mirrors on my AK and they were ok. Being so small it felt like I had to give more than a glance. They do work well though. You can see a car coming up beside you and still see it in the mirror when you can see the front of the car come into your peripheral vision.

I remember looking into this awhile back and discovered this video from Robot about different mirrors for a GTS 300 super.

The ones I like the best are the ones at the end of the video similar to what comes on my BV 250.

Anyway at about 8:00 into the video Robot shows how the BV 250/500 mirrors use an adapter to be able to be used on the GTS.

If you are not against buying new mirrors all you would have to do is find the correct adapters and you are golden! Not sure if they make them for the ET2 for certain but might be worth looking into if you want different mirrors.
