Modern Vespa

Maybe should post in the not so modern forum?
Saw a listing for this 2012 Vespa, about 100 miles away, right at 1620 miles, just serviced, new battery and has extra filter. (Oil, air?). The left mirror is loose, it has a few scratches but looks good in photos. Maybe the mirror mount could be changed.

Any comments on this year bike is welcome. I do like the older speedometer gauges on these.

Modern Vespa refers to the ET, LX, Primavera, Sprint, GT, and GTS as compared to the earlier mostly 2T Vespas such as the P/PX and many others.

I owned a 2012 LX150i for a number of years. It is an excellent scooter. Fuel injected, reliable, and fun to ride. The one you are looking at has very low mileage and is 10 years old. Be sure you verify its maintenance history. Most lightly used older scooters have some undone periodic maintenance such as drive belt, brakes, coolant, tires, hoses, other rubber parts, etc. You will find quite a few posts here about servicing older scooters when first purchased.

You are in the correct area. 2012 is considered Modern. The S is a nice little bike. I had the 2011 version. I wouldn't think the mirror would be a deal breaker. It possible could be tightened or a new part. We would need to know the asking price to make a good judgement.

I had a SMALL Honda Spree back in the 80's in Phoenix AZ, talk about fun. The fastest it would go was 40-42 😁 Used it to get to work, the store. Vehicles couldn't wait to pass me up, sometimes giving me the 1 finger salute, even though there were 4+ lane highways. Loved it out there, back then. Where I live now would use it for the store and errands, a little riding later.
Photos look fine but mentions a few scratches/scuffs for the age that's not surprising. Would probably get it to a dealership and have them check it, go through it.
Don't like the loose mirror but guessing another mirror mount or ? would fix that.
It sounds like it has been maintained well, will see if he has records/receipts.
I have an f150, short bed but I think it would fit diagonally (7+ ft) with extra room to spare.
At 64, this is a very recent thought (last 2 days).

He's asking 2500 for it. It has the front and rear luggage racks-which I want, and has what looks like the Vespa trunk on the back.
This is a medium/dark charcoal gray color, I'd say a touring edition because of the racks.
The trunk box looks like one of the hinges is broken but the top still closes. If I get this bike, might replace the trunk or see if can fix it.

Sorry if I missed it. What model and engine size is it?

The name of his post was "2012 S 150 ie".

For me, 1500-2000 seems ok but what do I know! Are tires original?
