Just want some other perspectives. This is for my 2021 racing sixties Sprint 150.

I don't like the gold wheels! All the trim on this bike is matte black.

I was planning to paint the wheels matte black.

But I've been thinking of going more visible. Piaggio makes gloss black. Also attached a photo of a CNC gloss black wheel set. Pricey though. Does anyone know of other wheels sources beside SIP and Scooter West? heinmo??

I think painting your crash bars gold to match might help.

Otherwise those ones you linked look like fun to clean.

If you are up for the work, you can paint them with Plasti dip. A large array of colors and if you don't like it, you can just peel it off.

Ahh the joy of asking for help on MV.

I hadn't thought of painting the other parts of the bike gold! Imagine if I painted all the Matt black trim gold! Then I could hate the color on the whole bike!

To each their own, but I really like the gold wheels. But If wasn't happy with the color I would have them powder coated. (Scooterwest also sales wheels in the different stock colors, could always just sale the gold ones) [/i][/quote]

Once I had a set of wheels powder coated black. The result was superb. It shows dust and grime a lot faster though.

If you like the current rim design, then +1 on the painting or the Plastidip. I have seen great execution with the Plastidip on rims that take much more abuse than your Vespa most likely will and the fact that it's not permanent is a plus.

Personally, for wheels, I'd stick with SIP or Scooterwest. I like their selection. I also feel confident that they only stock proven products and have accessible customer service should you run into an issue.

Here is mine with the standard black sprint rims (glossy). I also disliked the gold rims and asked the dealer to order replacements when I bought it.

injecting myself into this thread again

I think the gold is just terrible. I have seen pictures here that the paint does not last.

Also. If anyone just LOVES the gold rims and wants a pair, hit me up. They've been sitting in a box since I purchased my scooter.

White with gold... I'm not a fan. I have a white Subaru STI that came with gold wheels. Subaru has a history of putting gold wheels on their limited run performance cars (they only built 500 of these cars). But in the past they usually offered those cars in blue, so the gold wheels looked great. Not so great with white. I swapped my wheels for gloss titanium (very dark gray).

I guess the long story is my way of saying I think black would be an improvement on your Sprint.

Thanks so much! Maybe I can find gloss titanium! Sure looks great on your Subaru!

Or maybe red wheels! I could plasti-dip them Red!

Sprint front wheel fits GTS front and rear. That's why GTS can use Primavera, Sprint wheels but not vice versa. Most of this CNC stuff is coming out of China. Look on Aliexpress too.

Red could look really good. Don't use plasti-dip though. Every set of wheels I've seen plasti-dipped started peeling within a year or so. The only upside is you can peel it off and go back to your original color. If you want it to look good long-term, powder coat them.

I may have found the perfect look. The scooter has gold stripes front, aft and sides and the saddle cover matches. Now if I only had gold rims to tie it all together! Hmmmm

I'm quite a fan of the gold rims (and racing 60's livery)...

...that would be my choice of GTS300.

Thanks much. I'd use plasti-dip just to experiment. Especially with Red!

I recently modified my Sei Giorni to 13" rims.

I've got the pair of the 12" Vespa rims that came with it in matte black if you're interested. Only around 4,500 miles on those.
