Just back in LA and my MP3 400 needs the idle hole cleaned and a spark plug. Runs well , just won't idle.

As I have been away so long , needing desperately a MP3 mechanic to do a quick fix solution

In Los Angeles and needing help. Love my MP3 , wont me that much to make it happy again

How long has the bike been sitting? If it sat for more than 90 days then I hope you used a fuel stabilizer before leaving.

Modern day fuels go bad very quickly.

The ethanol in the fuel is the deadly killer here, such as fuel pumps, injectors, etc.

If your MP3 hasn't been heavily modified like mine, I would suggest going to Vespa of Sherman Oaks to get it properly serviced.

Mine being heavily modified, I take it to Pena Racing (1601 S. Alameda Street). They are a father and son team that is honest and awesome to work with. Ask for Edwin and tell him Alen with the Piaggio MP3 500 sent you.

(323) 273-9073, Ask for Edwin, he's the owner. Tell him Alen with the Black Piaggio MP3 500 referred you from a forum. He's replaced my tires before.

Recently he worked on my MP3 500 which stopped running and sat there for 5 years. I tried going to 2 other mechanics and they weren't able to fix it, but at Pena we finally got it up and running again.


Side Note:
If you ever have battery drain problems where the bike won't start up even after you tried everything else (putting in new battery etc) make sure you check the hidden 30amp fuse in the starter relay which is near the front (close to the battery) in the compartment under the seat. Our Piaggio is wired and built very differently from most bikes, making it hard for most mechanics to diagnose this properly.
