When I pull away on my 2010 Gilera Fuoco there is a "clacking" noise from the transmission.
I have had the cover off to check and all looks well as far as I can see.
Could it be the clutch unit?
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks
Benita

Are the washers all present and in the correct order?
Unless the shoes are worn, I am guess the clutch assembly is making contact with the cover. |

Thank you for your reply.
I take it the the clutch comes off as a unit? What should I be looking for in the way of spacers/washers? Thanks Benita |

Yes, the clutch comes off as a complete assembly.
Take a look at the diagram attached, particularly parts# 16 through 19. The washers must be present and placed in the correct size and order. Another possibility is that the nut (part#16) is not tightened to spec. Warning: Do NOT start the engine with the clutch cover removed or it will instantly disintegrate the clutch assembly. https://www.easyparts.nl/explodedview/Originele-onderdelen-Gilera-Fuoco-500-IE-E3-2007-2013-(EMEA)-Koppeling-m14689-d42406 |

Thanks again for the information.
The diagram gives no indication of washer sizes I will give it a try but it might be too technical for me, What is the correct torque setting for the nut? Thanks again Benita |
