This was the third time I attended this event and each ride has been exceptional. The route that day was sixty-nine miles and I used the Helix clone. This time I let everyone start in front of me so I was last in line. I did it so I could back off before hills and turns and then gas it, get the revs up and regain the gap to the ridder in front of me instead of being stuck at low revs when the big V-Twin crowd would hit the brakes and then yank on their throttles and leave me struggling not to be an obstacle in the middle of the group as my engine regained revs. It worked well and I could hesitate for a few seconds and then charge turns and hills.
At the end there was a great party with a live band and good food. It was a great day for a good cause.
