Looks good, tell me in detail about the navigation mod, I have a tomtom ride satnav but I cannot find a secure way of fixing it to the mirror stem.

What problem do you have attaching it to the mirror stam? You can use a RAM Mount. And (what I've seen other people doing) you can also connect the RAM Mount to the windscreen, which for some people feels even less flimsy.

For some reason, that rear rack with backrest totally feels like " 'Murica..." to me. And I mean that in a positive way. Love it!

I have found the mirror stem mount cannot take the weight of the TomTom and slips.

I have a functioning phone mount and do sometimes use it for navigation but a dedicated satnav such as a tomtom or garmin is far more useful for the touring I like to do.

I have two TomTom Satnavs I just need to find a secure way of fitting one of them to my GTS.

Just watch the video. It's not about the phone mount - it's about how he connects the RAM ball to the mirror stem.

The way he does it (and with the piece he uses), it will definitely not slide down and you can use the RAM system to attach your TomTom Rider very securely.

I cut a small rubber strip from an old inner tube to sit between the mount and the mirror stem on mine and it grips so well I could hang grocery bags from it.
