the blue key on my old gts was of that softer plastic not the harder blue of the hpe era vespas.
It broke. the small hole in the corner broke so I used a couple of small zip ties to strap a ring to it and carried on.

IDK about the new keyfob, but I heard the original HPE fob was borrowed from Fiat, which explains why it has buttons that don't do anything.

I bet the tilt is by using the motion sensors in the phone like the early version of the piaggio app (years before the supertech) and the abs monitoring is probably looking for either the wheel sensors giving very different speeds or a very rapid deceleration. Other stuff on their website describing the updated SuperTech are predictably nebulous, such as: - Underseat compartment with LED Lighting So: does this mean they've actually wired the pet carrier for interior lighting? Cool idea, although I recently came up with my own setup (coming in a review soon, promise) - High-tech finishes in warm grey and fluorescent green Why is it that, at least in my case, they manage to come up with one color that says "yep, that'll do, even if it's not my slam-dunk fave*", and one that gives me that whiskey-tango-foxtrot convulsion? Of course, in the world of color choices, this is Planet Vespa, and I've learned to live in its fashion-forward atmosphere. Mostly. (*I've been asked if Nero Convinto Matte was my off-the-bat favorite color for the SuperTech, and the honest answer is "not quite": the putty-grey "Audi/Volvo/Kia-Stinger" finish was my fave, but by the time I got 'round to replacing my wrecked '15 Super, it was either that satin-black or (hold it, need to look this one up…) Grigio Delicato Matte. I do prefer Nero to this, and this was helped by the fact that the bike I got was actually purchased by someone else as a gift to her partner, who rejected it because she didn't like the color. And if I didn't like the color, I'd have waited another two months before another shipment came in…supply-chain, y'all.) ![]() Oh, yeah: Matte-black is a little easier to touch-up, and cleans-up in a pinch. Big dents from careless drivers are still a bitch, of course.

And price went up ~640 EUR. The upcoming Lambretta X300 and G350 now looks even more interesting especially as the better G350 is 1040 EUR less than new GTS 300

I dropped into my local dealer here in Melbourne yesterday and had a chat. Coincidentally they were chatting to the head of Vespa Australia the day before and asked him about the 2023 and he knew zero about it. So my dealer took a guess and said we probably won't get it until jun/jul but really has no idea. Also note that the Australian version of vespa.com doesn't mention it yet.
PS reminder our gts come from the vietnamese factory so ... |

I'm probably gonna spend a bunch of the winter in that part of the world, and it could be fun to tool around on a fancy new toy while I'm there (and maybe bring back some souvenirs for my model at home). |

I could actually get it from Vespa Motorsports and have them service it as well during warranty, they are only about 65 freeway miles away or 105 lower speed limit, scenic canyon miles away, bit of a stretch for my Primavera 150 but have made that run on it, one of my favorite 2 wheel rides ever |

I ended up listening to the whole thing. He does have some dealer brochure that is a bit more organized than what's available publicly, but if you've been reading this thread, you're not missing much.

2023 GTS models: hmmm, if you don't love Black hardware (as I don't) and you don't like Matte finishes, (as I don't), there are very few choices for a 2023 GTS 300 buyer.
Personally I was hoping to see a wider array of finish choices. I guess I am more drawn to brighter Gloss colors of which none seem to be new for 2023, except maybe the Beige if they actually offer that color in the US when they make the official U.S. announcements. Perhaps some other U.S. Color might drop when they announce.

I don't quite understand the fascination with black. Sure they look great and no problems for daytime rides but at night black scooters are far more difficult to see. I've always tried to pick a lighter colour, as hard as Vespa tries to make it.

Agreed. I was disapointed at the lack of gloss colors. The beige looked pretty cool (hard to believe I'm typing that!), but it has disapeared off of the US site as an option for some reason. Black trim isn't my favorite, either.

Based on what I am seeing so far for 2023, I am most interested in the Orange Super Sport model but thinking about changing all the black parts and leg trim to Chrome, losing that non matching front tie for a 2022 Orange one and swapping out those wheels too, which I think pale in comparison to the 2022 turbine wheels and then removing those stripes! I think I could live with it then.

You know a lot of new Vespas just sit in the driveways of formerly-eager riders. |

With black it will be cheap too, but complicates creation of stickers and that's why we do not see more black company cars (except for funerals ) |

This video contains more information than any from before and I think is the first riding impressions I've seen. It's in german.
https://youtu.be/qwKrEHrEwh0?t=362 She said the chassis has been reworked to be more compliant, shocks have new dampers. She said that made a significant difference and so Vespa have upped or removed the 120k speed cap. I'm not sure where the new cap is but she said someone saw 125k on GPS. Bars are 14mm wider. She also talked about brakes, saying there are new Nissen and Brembo calipers, and Brembo master cylinders. Another video I saw showed some doc/info stating the stopping distances are marginally shorter. She added that brake levers are closer to the bars, so easier for smaller hands—and personally that's my taste too. The seat shape is adjusted for shorter legs to reach down more easily. It seems like it's got a number of adjustments catering to smaller folks which is great for women who want the HPE power. So in summary it seems like there's a lot more new stuff going on that I've heard here in the forums, and perhaps the prices are worth it. |

I'm really disappointed in the colors of this new GTS. I've been officially in the market for one since about May 2022. There were a few colors in the 22 lineup I liked but couldn't find any in stock locally. I thought about buying long distance but after adding shipping cost was looking at another grand to get color of choice.
So figured may as well wait to see what the 23's look like. When they posted the new colors I was a bit surprised at the options, as they got rid of a lot of nice ones. But I really liked the Blue Super Tech and felt like the Beige was a classy color I could probably love in person. And now that the pre-orders are up, I see the only two colors I really liked are the two colors they removed!! I really don't know what they are thinking. If you don't want a black/grey/silver, you're left with the Super orange or gold which, in my opinion, look a little busy and I dunno, like they're just trying too hard to get attention. So if you want a '23, you have very few options to get a nice "classic" Vespa color, if you don't want white, red, or black. (I love the Verde Amabile but don't think it suits me. Would be prefect for my wife but I bought her a verde Pic Nic so already got that color!) I just don't get why they limit the US markets options so much. I've seen many Vespa colors in other countries I would love to buy that are not offered here. Now not sure what to do. My local dealer has a new '22 Touring and though I was hoping to get an actual color and not grey, do like the brown saddle and the classic style to it with the rear rack and windshield. But no discount is being offered so hard to justify paying full price for last years model that wasn't even my first, second, or third choice! Anyone else in the market for a 2023 GTS as disappointed as I am?

I hope Vespa isn't going to start following the lead of manufacturers like Honda by sticking the USA with its blander colors. When Honda's ADV 150 came out it was offered in colors like candy red, pearl white, black, and dark metallic silver. When it made its way here the following model year Honda put out a press release talking about how much fun scooters are, and what super-fun color did they offer us? Matte. metallic. black. Yay.
