Welcome oliver!
well as for the sidestand you just have to be careful where you leave the scooter cause wind or people can make it fall,i have a Buzzetti one and works fine the faco is cheaper but the quality seems to be different than the Buzzetti, anyways it's allways safer to use the centerstand the sidestand it's just a cool accessory for the scoot, good luck! Cheers! CUCO |

I bought my almost new ET4 from a guy who won it in a contest and he already had the sidestand installed so I didn't have a choice about it.
The scooter is indeed quite tippy with it deployed. I never use it if I am going to be more than a few steps away from her as I worry about someone (or the wind, as mentioned above) knocking it over. Overall, I would say not very functional. It's just too tippy. The problem is that the centre of gravity of the scooter is quite high and this fact coupled with the sidestand only creating a small triangle of support makes for one tippy situation. Hope this helps! |

Something worth considering...
Motorcycle sidestands are equipped with an integral engine cut-switch. I've driven away with the sidestand down countless times, on vintage motorcycles that don't have the engine cut-switch. That's not good. It's simply not possible to do that with current motorcycles. If the sidestand is down, the engine stops once you put the bike in gear. That's a good thing.

I have the one from scooterwest.com. It was very easy to install. It's spring loaded so it flips up by itself as soon as the bike goes vertical (almost a little too easily).
It really does make the scoot seem like it's going to tip over, but if you're parking in a safe place it's a nice quick option! |

Thanks to all who have replied so far. What does the install entail?

Hey Oliver. Installs a snap. Threaded holes are already on the bottom of the et4. Line 'em up with the side stand and tighten down. Is kind of tippy though. I rarely if ever use mine. Being spring loaded, if someone comes up and touches it, the sidestand can pop up and your scoot will be on its side
