Help! I have a Vespa lx125 2007 plate

Want to get it up and running it has spark put a new plug in it

When you turn the ignition on the fuel pump kicks in then stops

When you go to start it keeps cranking over but nothing

When you forces fuel in to the carb it runs for a few minutes

My question is

Is the fuel pump ment to run all the time?

I seem to have fuel troubles

Also under the seat there's a fuse holder with to fuse spaces only one fuse in there is it ment to have 2?

Check the vacuum line to the intake manifold. Probably cracked.

On your questions:

No. Normally when you switch on the ignition you hear the fuel pump running for a few seconds and then it stops. That is normal.

If your scooter was running fine when you last used it there probably also was only one fuse in. I expect nobody touched your scooter to remove a fuse, and you say you have spark. So that is also not the problem.

When you force fuel in the carb it starts and runs for a few minutes. Probably means it runs until the fresh fuel that you forced in is consumed.

What I think is that there is nothing wrong with your Vespa.

How long was is not used?

It could be the fuel in your tank and carb is not good anymore or there is some dirt in your carb.
I would start from there. Drain the tank and clean the carb. Put in new fuel and see what it does.

Thanks for the reply I will try this

The Vespa was brought as spares or repairs I didn't know much about it I've had it for 4 years now when I first got it I had it running abit then left it now gone back to it

Has fresh fuel in it but will look in to the carb also the vacuum pipe and go from there
