I've just finished rebuilding a Vespa p200e 1980 engine and I would like to know how to find out what size thrust washer i need. It's the washer what goes behind the crank.

If it's just a stock height clutch basket, then i would use a washer spacer that's the same thickness as the oil pump gear that would normally reside behind the clutch on an auto-mix P200.

I've used numerous thickness washers over the years.
Did you put all the plates in the same way around? They are concave/convex, depending on which side you are looking at, but as long as they are all the same, all should be good |

I contacted BeepSpeed and they advised me to use a 2.8 spacer washer. That was before I taken apart the clutch and found discs stuck together and abit of rust. It cleaned up ok and I soaked the plants and resembled it. I mailed BeepSpeed about the rust and they ask if I soaked the clutch before installing. I've got people saying to use the 3.7 not the 2.8 because that's the size of the cog for autolub p200e they are the same size.

Always need to soak the corks. Put them in a sandwich bag, one by one while dressing in some oil and let it sit for a spell.
