Hi, I've been using Conti K62 white wall TL (rated J I guess) tires on my splitted rims (avatar vespa). Looking for new classic look same size, black.

SIP has the Heidenau K38 59M TL reinforced, is it fine with my splitted rims? They also have the cheaper SIP brand but the Heidenaus look better and are "made in Germany"… if that means anything nowadays. Other options among SIP offer? (To use 10% out on Black Friday + 30€ voucher). Thanks

Both are fine for 10" or 8" wheels and are TT/TL. The SIP's are made in Vietnam, no idea of the manufacturer. I've bought them for both 10" and 8" rims.

Thanks!

Still in doubt about their brand SIP tires, they have all the specs including speed up to 130 km/h
And much cheaper than Heidenau (116€ vs 161€ for 3 tires). Anyone who have used both and can compare? TIA

Regards

Put 10x3.0 K 38s on my smallie in the spring and really like them so far. Using 8x3.5 ones on my Allstate project. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks exmayor. They do look good.

What I notice in the K38's design compared to the SIP is the design/blocks of the edge which look much more trusty on cornering, as if it was from a bigger tire. The SIP edge is round and extends to the side of the tire to a point where its absolutely unnecessary ... just for looks?

Those are side biter traction knobbies for riding through muddy ruts!

One of the things that keeps me going back to the S83 is the profile and edge. I tend to push the limits in the corners and S83 allows for a good contact patch up to a 45° lean.

Always felt the K38 didn't allow for that much lean. Also find Heidenau tires to be really heavy.
