Hi, going from a 3 to 4 speed engine on my VBA, I purchased a 4 speeds tube (I didn't even have any shifting tube anyway...) and I have an issue...

The tube can't reach its 4th position, the clutch cable is in the way.

Repro shit, again...

I can go from -1 speed up to 3, which makes me think the windows are not align properly. I could go like stetting the neutral position on 1st mark as I can easily pass down the 1st gear position, but then the 3rd mark on the tube would be 4th gear

The solution seems to be a slight clockwise rotation of A on the B axis

Is that possible ? It looks to require massive brute force ! Or maybe heating with the torch ?

Or could I grind a piece of the window ?

Thanks !

That's strange. I have a 3 speed shifter on a 4 speed bike and have no issues at all.

Probably easier to grind the window a bit I'd think

Is this one of the "Premium" parts SIP sells?? If yes, they're made in Vietnam that's why they're shit…

As said, easier to enlarge the windows…

Get the short shifter adapter(?):

You could also relocate the mark on the headset. You should have plenty of space towards 1st with that tube as it is. 1st will be a bit high on the lever.
