Hi got a problem with my stator. one of the holes what the stator screws on has stripped. What thread kit do I need. Could JB weld work?

F* no. JB Weld is like ingrown hair on your taint that will not go away.

you will want to use a Helicoil (or similar in your country) for repair in this area. You can buy a Helicoil "kit" that would have the drill bit, tap, and helicoil inserter. I think m4, but measure first.

Ummm, I'd pass on the ingrown hair, even though I never had that experience. 😁

Is that a blind hole? Will he need a bottoming tap?

Might be a M5, be sure to look it up. I bought a bunch of stainless hardware and I thought it was another one of those odd Vespa sizes.

Does that Time-sert leave a ridge on top , not allowing the stator to fit flush ? I think a Helicoil would provide adequate strength for this application.

Helicoil is the correct application.

Depends on time-sert, some have tools for flush mounting. I've used them on oil drain plugs in aluminum oil pans.

In this case, the best kit maybe what can be found locally.

All Time-sert kits come with a drill bit that countersinks the 'Sert's ridge.
