I recently got a 2005 vespa lx50 2 stroke in silver.

It needs some work but I am happy to do it

I need to change headlight bulb. EU version so I believe that means it's a 35/35W bulb as opposed to the US 60W.

When ordering the parts I need I also ordered this to use as the headlight bulb as it caught my eye.

https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/product/bulb-osram-cool-blue-intense-12v-60-55w-socket-p43t-h4_57305120

I just noticed it is 60W and I have heard of other people's housings melting because of the heat, I know the US version is 60W so is this ok to use or should I buy a stock one instead?
Should I get an LED kit for the headlight?

There is also a small bulb beside the headlight so if I out the new blue one in I need to change the small one too, what type of bulb is used for this and should I go LED for it instead?

I'm going to change all of the dash lighting so what type of bulbs are they and should I go for LEDs instead?

For the rear tail and break light I just bought to original bulb because it has the two filaments and I didn't know if the LED would go brighter for the the brake.
If anybody knows if an LED works should I get one?

My tail lights are all good but should I change them out for LEDs?

Thanks

A 50 2stroke can't run the 55/60 cause it's an AC system. Not enough juice from the stator. Every light will dim with the bigger bulb. Stay with the stock 35/35…

The US version of the LX 50 uses a 35/35 H4 bulb. You would have to get the housing, which is 639280. You would be more likely to find it in the US than anywhere else. I suppose you could try using the headlight assembly for the LX 150, which is 58260R. That's designed for a 55/60 bulb, and it is deeper. I'm not sure if your bike has enough power to make that light work, and SaFiS thinks it won't. He does know this stuff pretty well.
As far as bulbs, you can pretty much go into any auto parts store and get the same ones you see on parts sites, (except for the headlight for the ET2 and that weird little orange Christmas tree indicator light they used on some GTS models that is just about impossible to find now) for less than you are going to pay on the internet.

Yes, and I'm not well enough acquainted with EU auto parts stores to know if they stock ba20d bulbs, but the odds are better there than in the US. Any ba20d bulb that's of the right wattage will work.
There is nothing special or magical about the light bulbs Vespa uses, so before you order online, you might want to carry the bulbs into the local auto parts store and try to match them.
