That would be a really Super Cub.

The exception for the Honda Trails is because they are basically the same as the Cub but without the leg shields which would otherwise disqualify them. You can modify the Cub as your heart desires but there is no exception for the C200.
Other motorcycles are limited to the little Hondas and they will only be eligible within the little Honda bike class. Frankly, I'd love more vintage and Frankenscoots to participate. Both require more mechanical skill than I have any desire to learn, much less do. |

You could do a lot of this to a mid 70s Honda Passport. And they're still out there.

When I first got my 150 cc Buddy a few years back, I'd learned about the Cannonball by joining this forum. I thought, "Wow, that sounds SO cool! A dream!" I've since upgraded and sold that bike a while ago, and I'm not much a mechanic. But, at the risk of being pelted with "negative thumbs down energy" on the forum, I have to ask:
Am I the only one the thinks riding a scooter for 10 days, at 8-10 hours of driving, in the sand/dirt/crazy terrain, would in turn make me hate riding?? I enjoy driving; but I don't love harrowing experiences in the car. It seems like this last cannonball especially took a lot of people out. I love riding my scooter, but after a long day I'm happy to get off and not look at the thing again until the next day or the one following that. I commend those that can do it; but I often wonder if the cheese stands alone in thinking it would actually sour the experience for me. |

I did it. I feel the same about riding.
I did it again a few months back. Still love riding. After 20 hours of riding you may have to have a few days off. |

No, I do 20 hours in one hit. In one day. Not on the Cannonball I'd like to add.
Just for fun. |

So yes, there's something to that, but for me it's not a permanent thing. You just want to do different kinds of rides for a while, rather than endurance riding. None of that is really the point, though. Cannonball is a unique adventure, a shared experience, and a daily dose of euphoria in the hotel parking lot with all your fellow riders. It's an amazing experience. |

I will admit I had zero interest in doing the Amerivespa rides after the cannonball and once I was home the scooter was sent for full service (I only wrench when I have to) before I handed it back over to my son. Switched back to my Vespa for any other riding. 2016, I rode both ways from Houston to the start on Amelia Island Florida. On the way out easy riding with multiple stops ranging from Cafe du Monde for beignets and listening to street musicians playing jazz to spending a day sea kayaking in the Florida pan handle. Atfter finishing I had arranged for a complete service, tire change, etc before leisurely riding though the Cascades, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons to our house in Breckenridge. Scooters (two others were in the garage there) were my only transport besides the local bus until my husband arrived. The leisurely ride to and from provided a lovely contrast to the intensity of riding a cannonball. A few weeks later my husband and I took a multi day ride on the scoots as well. Both 2014 and 2016 had limited amounts of dirt riding 2018 and 2021 had considerably more dirt and technical riding which frankly I don't enjoy. There were several sections last year I was happy to be on the support truck but others that made me regret not being able to ride. 2023 is an homage to the early cannonballs with a return of classes and no mandatory dirt. So I'm going to ride it again so my last cannonball won't be a DNF but my days of trying for for a top 10 finish are done as I'm planning on tourist mode next year. Heck, I doubt I'll even be in the top 10 of my class with 70+ registered. Crazy number of people register but I doubt half will show up at the start. |

Karlsbadd and Mopmop. May I suggest you try a 350 mile ride and then see how you feel, and if that works try a 500.
It's easier than you might think. Riding past the 1000 mile mark in one day is a little different but small steps and all that. |

I had a great time on Cannonball last year, but only made it to day 4. But I loved every minute of it!
I'm planning to go again next summer.

The criteria have been relaxed for bikes under 125cc. I hope we see 100+ 150cc or fewer scooters turn out. Currently, 90 of the declared entrant scooters fall in this category. A working concept for 2025 is a higher mileage 10-day event that attempts to maximize technical (paved surface) riding. But... one year at a time.
