Good luck out there and stay safe. Here in Frostbite Falls Minnesota,
(even with exceptional public snow removal) there is much ice
on the road. Major roads are plowed and salted and dry up when
the sun comes out. Side roads, although plowed, are a nightmare.

Yes, as you can see.....this is Tampa, Florida!

nooo.... This is the west cost of Norway, close to Geiranger for those who know!
the ligt bar is a 10" LED light bar with 4050 lumen, makes night to day(almost)
wich i have connected trough a relay direct from the battery with heavy gauge wire.
The weather outside as i type...is snow with wind! will be fun in the morning.
The Tires i am using are studded winter tires (Sava Mitas MC32), and as they are studded, i need no chain;)

OK, you have studded tyres. I could guess it is impossible to drive under those conditions without. (studded tyres not allowed over here on our roads)

But I wonder what you do to not freeze on your scooter?

I love it all ...even though we have yet to get snow here in Ottawa Canada...but that LED bar...just makes me think how much I don't want that in my rearview mirror when I am driving my car/SUV.

I am not a fan at all when I get a truck behind me that has one of those across their roof...I have to readjust my rearview and side mirros which is dangerous in itself!

if it's used like a high beam is normally used which is only switched on when you're not behind a vehicle then shouldn't be an issue. He said it's on a relay and if that relay is triggered by the high beam then fine by me

yes, the light bar is connected trough the hi-beam switch.
as in the winter, we only got few hours of daylight...the extra light is much needed.The suite i am riding is a motorcycle riding suite with isulation.
good Halvarson gore-tex gloves.

I love cold weather riding myself.

Over here in the US, sometimes I can go hours without seeing someone on a motorcycle when the temperature drops significantly; over in Europe, I did more frequently see other riders in the winter.

How common is it in your neck of the wood to see other motorcyclists in cold and snowy weather?

Motorcycles over here is typically for summer, or nice weather in general. On a 1 hr trip you can encounter then tens of motorcycles.

In winter it is a different story. Motorcycles are rare then.
I tend to drive the scooter all year round if conditions are reasonable. Last saterday it was cloudy, dry and 2,5 - 3°C. Made a 1,5hr trip and did not meet any motorcycle.

And when there is snow you for sure will not find any motorcycle on our roads.

My parents told me that Norwegian immigrants promptly left
New York for Minnesota and wrote home, same weather and
you can actually own your own land. Made money, went home
and married their Norwegian sweet heart and returned to
Minnesota with every other third cousin. My wife's Grandfather
did exactly that - went home got married and brought her here.

Bob: thats alot of norwegian fun facts! i was not aware there were that many of norwegian decent there, i have alway thought that the majority went to the Seattle area.

Giallo: no...it's only me, i started this because of the city put up toll road around the city, and motorcycles are free!!(yeah i know, i am a cheap bastard:)

Petercc: no i dont have heated handle bars, if i went for longer cruices, sure....but for my work commute, my glowes are suffisient enough!

I worked with a lady from Minnesota once (I'd say her name but its like me hearing someone say, I know Judy from Vancouver...do you knwo her?).
Jan (her name) was one of the lovliest human beings I could imagine!

She represented the province I lived in at the time to bring Meetings and Conventions from the Central US to the province of Alberta.

Yes, it's Remus dual flow Exhaust.
really good sounding...i ride it with the db killer...i think it is to much without.
it really looks awful here....not been washed in a while..shame on me!!
i use it with a Malossi Forcemaster to prevent it from running too lean with the exhaust!
