What it's worth or what it will sell for? Because that bike could rake in a cool $16k (USD) over at BaT.

A deal for the seller. The buyer should know there is no deal to be found here with this obvious Southeast Asia restoration. Which we know is anything but restorative.

woah, gear down big shifter.
I don't mean to get all "gatekeeper" here or anything, but I want to point out the obvious here: you don't know *anything* about these bikes and you got very fortunate with your first purchase. I get it, you're excited and have the bug and already want another, but you really need to lay back and do some research before you wind up buying something willy-nilly and getting burned hard. think about it, would you purchase something that you ostensibly know nothing about for nearly 5K? take some time, read up, gain some knowledge and ask questions to make informed decisions. use the search function and wiki here on the forum there is an absolute goldmine of information available. good luck with your journey, we'll all be here along the way!

He's lucky he asked about it first before buying it. So many (of us, as I was a victim) poor suckers just plunged in for the buy.

Wow, yellow feet too. Had I found one of these when I first started looking I may have ended up buying one…well maybe not, they are priced way high and up close I would have spotted any tell tale use of body filler or wonky seams. They do look great in photos.

When I was shopping for my scooter, this page (in addition to the fine folks here) helped me a lot:
https://vespavirgin.com/how-to-tell-if-a-vespa-is-from-vietnam-22-ways-to-know-for-sure/ I would definitely spend time with your small frame, get it dialed in and running perfectly, while you research and "casually" shop for another ride…then hopefully when the perfect one comes along you'll have the knowledge and the dough ready to go and can pull the trigger on something you won't regret. |

Anybody else notice that ludicrously low mileage is always part of these dodgy, bodgy ripoffs? All these two-toned, yellow-booted vintage scoots sat under a tarp in some climate-controlled garage for 60 years, it seems.

It's just missing some words.
If you are super lucky, it could be ... Driven 300 km ... before completely falling apart. |

better to take a thrashing than be out 4800 on a piece of yard art, no?
too many folks come on here either having just bought one or trying to sell one and get their nose all bent out of shape when they get told what turd they just acquired.

"honestly! he's really friendly!" (yes - I'm the walker and y'all are the teeth bearing dog in this analogy 🙂 ) Don't mistake the crowd's distain for bodges - for distain for you. Bodges they take personally. Sounds like you are familiar with an analogous from what ever world you have experience in.

Today is your 8yr anniversary of joining MV... Happy Birthday, may take all the tippets you have learnt with you. We got together and wrote a novel for you. I know it's one of them new-fan-dangled electronic types, but hopefully it will be helpful and resourceful. Bodgespotting Also, here is one from The Great SLASHY... Ita bit of a real-life, honest mystery/slasher/thriller, with a heart-warming story of 1 guys struggle, and the necessary support from his extended family-friends-frienamies alike, all somehow coming together to a somewhat deluded outcome for the whole family. Slashy's Bodge (6,000 km) Didn't get a cake, as think you had enough cake already. Please stick around longer and enjoy a wonderful, bodge-free future. Lots of love, Your somewhat crazy & cynical MV Family ![]() ![]() Couldn't decide which one was more appropriate
