I have some comma x-flow 5w40 fully synthetic oil in the garage. Would it be okay to use this on my forthcoming oil change?

Arrgh, another oil thread. Seems like they never end well - but I'll try. The obvious first step is to compare the listed requirements for the Piaggio engine with those of the Comma oil you have. A quick look says they match up with the possible exception of the JASO standard. People seem to fall into two camps regarding oil for scooters. This one seems to be a good quality synthetic intended primarily for diesel cars. One group uses choices such as this and saves some money. The other group prefers oil specifically formulated for scooters and points out the small amount of oil used by a scooter regardless of price. (in fairness, I am in the second group)
