Would it be too bodge to clean this up with a file and fit new rings?Small frame 90 used around town ..so just want to get it running .Definitely doing seals bearings and selector while its at a nice height and they are already looking at me .so aiming to keep costs down...or is it false economy?

Is there a little chunk missing around the pin in the top groove? Will that weaken the pin's hold, or compromise a ring staying put? Piston looks pretty nice otherwise.
