Hi Guys, I have a 125LX automatic 2009, I was going around 60km yesterday and I heard a loud pop and lost all power, I thought I'd blown the tyre but, they are both fine, I pulled over and stopped. I turned the engine on and it runs but, it has no power and there was a smell like burning rubber, so I switched off and I've now got it home, does anyone have any ideas what may have happened, I have been having fuel problems I would have to squeeze the soft pipe under the seat a few times to get it started most days, it's recently had a new oil filter and oil change around 2 months ago. Thanks in advance

I thought it was something like a chain on a bike, what would the smell be from? Thank you for the answers so far

the belt is made of rubber

if you take the job on yourself, it'll need a good clean up in there

if you're not worried about a bit of spanner work, it's well worth buying the tools and DIY, it'll save you a lot in the long run as the belt and rollers need changing at regular intervals

Thank you, I'm definitely not a mechanic but, I have a friend who's away and can hopefully sort it when he's back, thank you all for the advice.
