I have a 2005 vespa lx50 2 stroke and I am wondering what the OEM model numbers are so I can buy replacements from SIP

I'm looking for the

Horn cover screw

Headset screw that is located under the headlight covered by the horncover

Headset screws on the right and left.

Air box screws

Side skirt screws

Brake lever washers (flat and curved)

Transmission cover fasteners

All screws are Phillips to my knowledge

Thanks

^^^^ Sadly, no parts manuals in the relevant LX50 sections. So you'll have to rely on parts lists from such as SIP, Fowlers or easyparts.nl.

Any LX manual will have those parts, but if you get one of the later ones, it is more than likely to have the latest part numbers.

No betting on stock - but Fowlers are the main distributor of Piaggio parts in the UK.

If you Google carefully you can get the length, diameter, and thread specs of the OEM parts and have most of these bits in hand in an hour or so. You'll drive yourself crazy and/or poor trying to order OEM replacements for routine fasteners you can probably pick up off the shelf from your local hardware or automotive store, or maybe a fastener specialist.

Mine was missing a few. Possibly not installed, possibly too loose and fell out.

I was referring to the on-line parts manuals which you can use (on-line) at no cost. I believe you are referring to shop manuals which AF1 has sold as PDF downloads.

But they are only for those models sold in North America.

Nothing to do with shop manuals.

Vespas are different in different countries therefore the parts are different. Only a small number of differences but some of those are significant.

And that means the part numbers for fasteners are all different? If you say so. (seems like you guys are mostly trying to have fun with this)

I think motovista was making the point that those parts manuals are not a solution for all parts.

And for screws, well there are some screws on an Australia HPE that are not on an American HPE. I'll leave you to compare the parts manuals to work out which 😝
