I have seen in my search for a Vespa to buy , several scoots advertised for sale at prices WELL.. above Msp's. A few people have replied to my calling out the prices as gouging, saying that it is just , supply and demand. The overpriced scoots appear for sale a long amount of time and I have no clue if the ever get sold for near the prices being asked. Nothing is worth more then another will pay for it and I would put my money on a brand ne gts300 model at app 10 thou then pay many times 10,000 for a bike that will perform no better and maybe even worse then the gts i would buy. Like new is not new.

IMO, scooters and watches (and exotic cars, unless you're talking 50s gullwing Mercs and such) generally make for terrible investment vehicles – that pun was 100% unplanned, honest – even though my current fave snarky YouTube car guy says otherwise:
