Modern Vespa

I go for a ride every year on the day before Christmas. I guess it's a tradition now. But I use it as an excuse to wish others a Merry Christmas. Being reserved, standoffish, and generally reclusive, I can't just come out and say Merry Christmas I suppose. I need an excuse disguised in a video.

So Merry Christmas to all as the day draws to a close. I'm grateful to have stumbled upon Modern Vespa so many years ago after being completely turned off by some other scooter forum. The people here have been supportive, generous with their knowledge and time, patient with my nonsense, and always ready to point out my folly. For that, thank you!

Ditto, except for the other scooter forum part. This was the first one I came across, and I wasn't inclined to find another.

Pretty much the same for me: a cool bunch from all over creation, what more is there to ask for?

Great video. You really capture the season and we get a peek into the meditative tranquility of your rides.

What is your process for cleaning the salt and winter off after your ride? I can't imagine you get the hose out when it's 6 degrees.

My process for cleaning is I wait until spring. I long ago surrendered the notion of a shiny, pristine scooter.

Sometimes in the middle of winter the weather warms and I will take it to the local car wash and spray it off.

That reminds me I forgot to wash Big Red. Since it is only 75 today I may postpone until this weekend when it is warm
