Toby is one of the happiest cats I've ever had. He loves being around people & other cats, and purrs easily. He's happy simply sitting on the couch with us, or next to the heater, or on the floor at our feet.

I think he might be attached.

Enjoying all the cat pics. We are currently between felines as we lost both of ours in the span of a few months last year and Mrs. Stickyfrog is still in mourning. But she's mentioned it a few time in recent days. Maybe adopting an older cat as they are harder to rehome.

For some reason, our cat Jack, likes to come around in the middle of the night and stick his nose in your face He will even use his paw to push against you.

I think I have traced the source of the problem. My blushing bride (in our older age) frequently gets up to use the bathroom. I do not think she can make it all night without doing this. Jack hears her and jumps up on the bed for attention. When she pets him or pushes him off - he is over in my face.

Pushing the source further, we probably drink to much fluid before bed (cocktails). We also can not shut him out of our bedroom - he will sit on the other side of the door a bang on it unltil we open the door.

He certainly does! When we come back from vacation ours acts like we're home invaders and won't let us touch him for at least a day. Ernesto is a drama queen for sure.

Ha! It's a testament to my love for the boy that I just roll my eyes at muddy prints on the hood of my car and my scooter seat....though the latter is really pushing his luck.

We don't restrict their behavior, other than not letting them outside to roam.

We allow them to be cats as much as we can, they jump onto the kitchen counters, eat bugs and spiders, etc...though I might intervene and save the crawly critters if I see them first, but if I don't, they're fair game for them.

We have no problems with them tearing up furniture, as they are provided with several scratching posts strategically placed throughout the house. Lord knows, they have a regular cornucopia of toys to keep them busy, as well as their giant brown wrapping paper 'fort', which provides hours of entertainment for them (and all for under $2 for a 30 inch by 12-15 foot roll of paper from the dollar store).

It's one our cats that left us several years ago at the age of 15.5. His name is Larry. Brought him home from the humane society when he was around nine months old. He was special.
